Trying Something New

I am contemplating trying something new in our marriage, but I'll be honest, I'm a little bit afraid. I've always worried that my husband would rather be with someone other than me.  He's strong, gorgeous, and amazing. I'm not. I feel like he could do better than me and I've always felt that way. 

He has always tried to tell me that he thinks I'm perfect and that he is the lucky one. He says that he would never want to be with anyone but me.  He says that there isn't any in the world as gorgeous to him as I am.  I still get self conscious though which is why it's such a stretch for me to attempt what I'm contemplating.

Neighbor

I am usually not one to try and 'keep up with the Jones', but the other day I saw a Direct TV truck at my neighbor's house and it really made me want to get it also. I went to direct.tv to check it out. I guess that is why they put the company's name on the side of the truck. What better commercial is there than seeing your neighbor getting something new! These neighbors happen to be the nicest people I have ever met, and I do kind of want to me the woman that lives there! She is so nice and just seems like such a good mom. She has seven kids and she home-schools them all. I only have two kids and I can't imagine home-schooling them. I can picture me trying and then just getting so frustrated with them that I send them outside to go play for the day! If she wasn't so nice, I may actually hate her because she seems to be so perfect. Needless to say, I am going to get Direct TV!

Believe Your Mate

I'm sure you all remember when I wrote about shopping for a special trip a few weeks ago.  I ended up buying so really sexy lingerie from EdenFantasys. The moral of the story is that you should always believe your mate.  What he thinks is very important and really the bottom line is that my husband is the only person that I want to impress!  I'm so happy he loves my body & curves as much as he does!

After going to www.texaselectricityproviders.com, we found some very competitive energy rates for our home. I am all about saving a dollar wherever I can. Growing up my family did not have much. My mother would cook rice for most meals and if we were lucky we would get some meat to go with it about once a week. We heated our house with an old wood burning stove and it was my job to make sure that we had enough wood to keep us warm. You could forget about turning the AC on in the summer as well. Shopping for a Special Trip

My husband and I will be going on a special trip later this month & I thought of a great surprise for him. After our move to Dawsonville, we logged on to dawsonvillegasatellitetv.com buy our satellite TV package. We did this just in time. On Sunday night, a great TV-movie came on about a high school special education class that had aspirations of attending Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama. Up until that point in Space Camp history, no special education class had been permitted to attend camp as the camp did not have the accommodations to deal with a mixed population of students. Through the hard work and efforts of a persistent teacher, this class overcame the odds, raised the funds, and found their way in Huntsville competing with various other teams of “normal” kids to earn the most points to finish the camp. This story was inspiring on so many levels. From the beginning, I connected to the movie because I had the opportunity to attend Space Camp for a week one summer with my best friend. It was one of the best weeks of my life as a youth. From a professional standpoint, I connected with this movie as a fellow teacher who also likes to push the envelope to maximize the potential I see in each of my students. For those students who are willing to work, I will work with them, side-by-side to help them reach and exceed their goals. From a personal level, I connected to this movie as a mother of a special needs child. Although my daughter is only five, I felt almost propelled to what her life may be like in ten more years. I celebrated with the victories of the class, and I cried with the ridicule, disappointment, and frustration these students faced each day while at school. It was one of the best TV movies I have seen in quite some time.

Liberator Shapes Review

Time for another EdenFantasys post!  I know you all love their store as much as I do.  It's an awesome place to get sex toys to play with.  Today I wanted to write about something we've been interested in for quite some time.  My DH and I have really wanted to try out some of the Liberator Shapes but they are just so expensive.  We didn't know if it would be worth the investment.  We finally took the plunge & I'm here to tell you about it.

After looking at some of the different options, we decided if we're going to do it then lets do it all the way, lol.  So we splurged on the Liberator Wedge Ramp Combo, which has a price tag of $210!!  When it arrived we were both very impressed with the quality.  The pillows are very firm yet comfortable & the material that covers them feels very luxurious. 

I have to admit, though, that we've been slightly disappointed with the actual use of these shapes.  They just aren't adding much to our experience.  I do have to say that we are very, very sexually active & enjoy each other a lot.  We're adventurous & try lots of new things.  I don't know if maybe that is why the shapes haven't been as exciting for us as some of the reviews I've read, or if maybe we're doing something wrong! 

I do think that for a couple that has been hesitant to try new things, or especially if one of the partners is a little hesitant, any of the Liberator Shapes could be a relatively gentle way to introduce new things.  We'll probably still use ours once in a while, but honestly our sex life is pretty amazing without them.  I do like to use the Ramp to prop myself up in bed when I'm playing on my laptop though, lol!

Sexual Frequency

This is a personal topic but I'd love to hear your answers.  How often do you and your significant other have sex (any type of sexual act...not just intercourse)?  How old are each of you? And how long have you been together?  The reason I ask is because this is a recurring issue in my marriage. I want it all the time.  He wants it a lot but generally not as much as me.  I'm beginning to think my expectations are just way, way, way too high.

As for my marriage, I'm almost 40 and he's 42 1/2.  We've been married 20 years.  We average 6 or 7 times a week.  I'll be honest....I'd like even more than that.  But he's actually feeling like it's too much for him.  I know that part of it is that I'm in my "prime" and he's past his.  I also think part of it is that I am a housewife & don't have a job.  Whereas he works fulltime in a factory.  He's tired, lol!

So, I'd imagine most of your answers will be lower than mine.  It'd be good for me to hear it.  Maybe that will make me quit bugging my hubby so much!  Please leave me a comment!!

Mom and Me

My mom and I have always been close but now that we own a business together I guess you could say we’re closer than ever. I love her to death but now that we spend about half the time in any given day side by side I think we’ve both been getting on each other’s nerves! My sister also works at the store but it’s only part time so I don’t think she’s dealing with the same family overload that we are, to be honest. Mom and I both have really strong personalities and though I know she always means well sometimes she comes across as a know it all. She’s always telling me to look into bank card processing and call the security guy and clean up the break room – as if I’m just some staff member that works in the store we co-own! I know she’ll calm down when things aren’t so busy and I guess I’m glad someone is taking the reigns since I’m a bit of a softie when it comes to that stuff.
