Believe Your Mate

I'm sure you all remember when I wrote about shopping for a special trip a few weeks ago.  I ended up buying so really sexy lingerie from EdenFantasys. I was nervous when I was choosing the pieces and again when they arrived.  That isn't normal for me, lol.  Usually I really enjoy shopping at the best sex toy shop online!  This was different though.  The nerves were because I didn't know how I was going to look in the lingerie, simply because I don't have a lot of confidence in my body.

Well, the big box arrived & I anxiously sorted through everything.  I bought eight different outfits as well as a romantic restraint kit. Shopping for a Special Trip

My husband and I will be going on a special trip later this month & I thought of a great surprise for him. Liberator Shapes Review

Time for another EdenFantasys post!  I know you all love their store as much as I do.  It's an awesome place to get sex toys to play with.  Today I wanted to write about something we've been interested in for quite some time.  My DH and I have really wanted to try out some of the Liberator Shapes but they are just so expensive.  We didn't know if it would be worth the investment.  We finally took the plunge & I'm here to tell you about it.

After looking at some of the different options, we decided if we're going to do it then lets do it all the way, lol.  So we splurged on the Liberator Wedge Ramp Combo, which has a price tag of $210!!  When it arrived we were both very impressed with the quality.  The pillows are very firm yet comfortable & the material that covers them feels very luxurious. 

I have to admit, though, that we've been slightly disappointed with the actual use of these shapes.  They just aren't adding much to our experience.  I do have to say that we are very, very sexually active & enjoy each other a lot.  We're adventurous & try lots of new things.  I don't know if maybe that is why the shapes haven't been as exciting for us as some of the reviews I've read, or if maybe we're doing something wrong! 

I do think that for a couple that has been hesitant to try new things, or especially if one of the partners is a little hesitant, any of the Liberator Shapes could be a relatively gentle way to introduce new things.  We'll probably still use ours once in a while, but honestly our sex life is pretty amazing without them.  I do like to use the Ramp to prop myself up in bed when I'm playing on my laptop though, lol!

Sexual Frequency

This is a personal topic but I'd love to hear your answers.  How often do you and your significant other have sex (any type of sexual act...not just intercourse)?  How old are each of you? And how long have you been together?  The reason I ask is because this is a recurring issue in my marriage. I want it all the time.  He wants it a lot but generally not as much as me.  I'm beginning to think my expectations are just way, way, way too high.

As for my marriage, I'm almost 40 and he's 42 1/2.  We've been married 20 years.  We average 6 or 7 times a week.  I'll be honest....I'd like even more than that.  But he's actually feeling like it's too much for him.  I know that part of it is that I'm in my "prime" and he's past his.  I also think part of it is that I am a housewife & don't have a job.  Whereas he works fulltime in a factory.  He's tired, lol!

So, I'd imagine most of your answers will be lower than mine.  It'd be good for me to hear it.  Maybe that will make me quit bugging my hubby so much!  Please leave me a comment!!

Spicy New Year's Eve

Every since our daughter was born, in 1993, my husband and I have never celebrated New Year's Eve alone.  We've always had her here with us & most years she stayed up until after midnight. Tonight, though, we'll be celebrating alone - yay!  She's home from college and will be babysitting all night to night....which means we'll have the house all to ourselves.

We're really looking forward to spending the evening naked in bed!  With her here from college we haven't had the time we're used to, plus it'll be awesome to start the new year off all wrapped up in each other's arms.  Good thing we bought lots of awesome sex toys from EdenFantasys the last few months!

Spicy Saturday - Wand Opinions?

Time for another "Spicy Saturday" post!  Today I wanted to get your opinions about wands. I recently purchased the Fairy Wand Massager from EdenFantasys. I love it! I really, really love the vibration power it possesses.  I am beginning to accumulate a lot of sex toys but I've never had one that plugs in and I can really tell a difference in the intensity. It's awesome!

My only complaint is that it's just a little too big. I would prefer if the top part wasn't quite so wide. Plus, we got an attachment and it doesn't seem to fit properly. I thought it was for the Fairy Wand but now I'm thinking it might actually be for a completely different wand massager.

I'm thinking about getting another Fairy Wand. They come in a few smaller sizes & I think that would fit my desires perfectly. My question, though, is which one should I get?  I don't know if I want the Fairy Mini or the Fairy Miniature. They also make two that are even smaller - the Pocket Fairy and the Fairy Baby - but I think they'd be just too small. Finally, I just realized that they also sell the Fairy Rechargeable, which might be a great option too. I don't know!

So, any opinions out there?  Basically I'm trying to decide between the Fairy Mini, Fairy Miniature, and Fairy Rechargeable.  I want something alittle smaller than the original Fairy but I don't want to sacrifice any of the intensity!  I love how strongly the Fairy vibrates!!  I also would like to be able to get some attachments eventually but that isn't a deciding factor.  Thanks for your advice!

Good Vibrations' Blossom Organics Pure Pleasure Arousal Gel Review

I really enjoy the Good Vibrations website. It is very female friendly and easy to navigate.  You might remember me posting about them before. Today I have a product of theirs that I would like to review.

I was sent the Blossom Organics Pure Pleasure Arousal Gel to try out.  I'll admit, I was skeptical. I just didn't think it would work at all.  I figured it was just a regular cream/gel that wouldn't do anything at all to my "private parts". I never expected it to really add or take away from my arousal. Here is a picture of the product...

One morning things were getting frisky with my hubby and he pulled the bottle out. He said we should give it a try & started to rub some on me. Initially it was just cold but quickly began to heat up. Then it started tingling.  I'll be honest - it became way too intense for both of us. Disappointed Tonight - Spicy Saturday

I'm sad tonight. My husband and I haven't had any time together this past week. We've been crazy busy! Don't get me wrong, we've still fit in lots of sex but not a lot of cuddling and taking our time.  He worked both days last weekend and was supposed to have them both off this weekend. We have been making plans all week.  It's been fun. We've been texting each other idea of things we wanted to do. But this morning that all changed. He woke up with a stuffy nose. As the morning went on it got worse and a sore throat started too.  SAD!  He's been texting me tonight and he's feeling even worse. I told him I could be his nurse and take care of him all weekend.  He liked that.  I wish I would've know this was going to happen. Babeland's Bnaughty Review

One of the great things about writing a blog about marriage is that I have the opportunity to review products from various online adult toy shops. What fun, right?!?

It's Fun to be a Girl - Spicy Saturday

Although I've been under a substantial amount of stress the last few days, I honestly feel like it is a good thing.  I feel like my marriage, and my emotional health in general, is going to not only survive but thrive!  DH and I have been doing a huge amount of talking.  He's opening up, telling me what he's feeling and what he'd like to see change.  Right now it seems like it's mostly about my neediness and clinginess.  He wants to make the decisions about sex, affection and all that.  To but it plainly, he wants to be "the man".

When I look at my behavior throughout our marriage, I have been acting like a guy in a lot of ways.  I am the one pressuring him for sex, checking out other people, acting like sex is all that matters.  Now that he's brought this to my attention I have been very consciously changing my behavior.  I'm acting like the girl now and it feels great.  I am actually really enjoying him chasing me - it's fun!!

Mixed Feelings

I'm having a little bit of a rough day today.  I'm not feeling very well so that is probably part of it.  I'm also really missing my DH.  We haven't had much time together.  Well, that isn't really true.  We've had time together but we've been busy.  What I'm missing is all the cuddling and watching television in our bed......naked!  There are so many great shows starting and I want to enjoy them with him.  Unfortunately, life is getting in the way right now.  I'm sure it'll slow down soon but right now it's hard.

The mixed feelings are coming because I want to change myself but honestly I don't know how much I want to change.  Does that make sense?  Maybe I'm just thinking too much today, I don't know.  I guess what I'm saying is that I keep talking about how I want to change myself in regards to sex with my husband.  I want to stop bugging him about it.  I want to keep the "Duct Tape Challenge" in effect.  But I don't really want to change who I am.....I still want to be ME just a little different.

I really don't think that DH wants me to change completely either.  I think he wants the same sexy, affectionate, hot, always ready for sex, fun, flirty wife that he loves so much.  He would hate for me to get rid of all those things.  He just wants me to tone down the pressure some.  That is where the real change needs to come.

Spicy Saturday Intro

I had a great response to my "Something Spicy" post a week ago.  As a result of that, I've decided to make this a weekly series.  Or at least we'll start out weekly and see how it goes from there!  It's interesting to me how many married women enjoy these types of things but don't really want to talk about it.  I'm here to help change that!

Something Spicy

Well, as you can tell from reading my blog, sex & affection are a very important part of my marriage.  I’m very proud to say that after 20 years of marriage we both still crave each other!  I love that!  I love that we make our time & pleasure a priority.  Not all marriages do these days and divorce is sometimes the unpleasant result.
